I ordered threaded rod nuts and washers for a truck I'm rebuilding to withstand the harsh northeast winters and not deteriorate in short time. The rods were cut to size to replace what normally would be bolts to retain the exhaust manifolds to the head. The original bolts had rusted so bad that to remove required cutting what was left of the heads of the bolts off that no longer could be fastened to remove. Even with the heads of the bolts cut off, rust expansion still prevented the manifolds removal. I can't take the time to explain all I had to do to get to the point of being able to make this repair serviceable. These stainless rods made to be studs that will make sure if I need to service this in the future I won't have to endure the pain getting to this point has been.
