Made from "super" type 410 stainless steel Marutex® containing molybdenum, for the most demanding drill screw projects. Excellent anti-corrosion properties!

What is Marutex®?

Marutex screws have corrosion resistance superior to type 304 stainless steel and have excellent penetration ability through steel studs. Regular type 410 stainless steel is case hardened. They are toughened by a tempering and quenching process. This means that, while the surface hardness is slightly less than case hardened 410 stainless, the core hardness is higher - making it one tough screw.

The secret to their superior corrosion resistance over regular 410 and 18-8 types of stainless is the addition of about 2% molybdenum. This is the same element that gives type 316 stainless its superior saltwater resistance.

On balance, Marutex® fasteners outperform all other self-drilling screws in corrosion resistance, strength, and driving ease.
