Use fiber cement screws to attach fiber cement siding (like Hardie®) to wood studs or structural insulated panels. Fiber cement screws are designed to be used in cement board. Drywall screws are not recommended, they are not designed for this use and do not have the protective corrosion resistant layer required to last.
