Lag Screws, sometimes called lag bolts, have a hex head, gimlet or cone point and a thin, sharp, coarse pitched thread. They are designed for insertion into wood and produce their own mating thread. Threading is usually 60% to 67% of the length. Available in both 18-8 and type 316 stainless steel.
